ATSC Seminar Will Highlight How ACAP Sets a Whole New Standard for Interactive Television
WASHINGTON,
D.C., August 20, 2004 –The Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC)
will conduct a one-day seminar to provide pertinent information on the Advanced Common
Application Platform “ACAP” Candidate Standard (CS/101). The seminar will include numerous presentations outlining
how ACAP
will provide consumers with advanced interactive services while providing
content creators, broadcasters, cable service providers, satellite operators,
and consumer electronics manufacturers with technical details necessary for the
development of interoperable services and products.
The
speakers are highly active, dedicated ATSC participants who developed ACAP and
related standards and are experienced in providing implementation
solutions. “This seminar provides a
wealth of practical information on this new, highly advanced technology that
will ultimately revolutionize the way consumers utilize television,” commented
Mark Richer, ATSC president. “Television enters a whole new realm with the roll
out of ACAP, and everyone in the industry involved in planning or implementing
new technologies has something to gain from attending this seminar.”
