Scope
The Planning Team on Future Broadcast Ecosystem Technologies (PT4) will assess the potential advantages and range of improvements that new technologies might provide to the future Broadcast Ecosystem. The Planning Team will consider technical and market requirements of broadcast signals and their retransmission, as well as the potential impact on already-deployed ATSC 3.0 receivers. The Planning Team will report its findings and recommendations along with a discussion of potential timeframes to the Board of Directors.
