A device that combines MPEG-2 packets from one or more elementary streams into one or more MPEG-2 transport stream outputs containing a multiplex of packets, or that combines multiple transport streams into a system level multiplex.

About ATSC

The Advanced Television Systems Committee, Inc., is an international, non-profit organization developing voluntary standards and recommended practices for digital terrestrial broadcasting. ATSC member organizations represent the broadcast, broadcast equipment, motion picture, consumer electronics, computer, cable, satellite, and semiconductor industries.
