ATSC 2020 sponsor Samsung Electronics is a global technology leader and the world’s top-selling television brand. Within ATSC, Samsung employees are involved in a variety of technical groups, both as contributing experts and in leadership roles. At this year’s CES, we proudly introduced three QLED 8K television series, all featuring an integrated ATSC 3.0 tuner. This next generation broadcast standard provides consumers higher resolution, more realistic audio and interactive experiences, designed to usher in a new era of over-the-air TV broadcasting.
“At Samsung, we are in the business of constantly transforming the technology we deliver to consumers,” said former ATSC Board Chairman John Godfrey, Senior Vice President, Public Policy at Samsung Electronics America. “With ATSC 3.0 tuners in our 2020 8K TVs, we are extremely excited to deliver an enhanced at-home viewing experience and can’t wait to see what content and experiences our broadcast partners develop for NEXTGEN TV.” www.Samsung.com
