ATSC 2019 sponsor Dolby has been a dedicated partner in standards development since the early days of digital television, joining ATSC to help standardize a robust broadcast digital audio solution for ATSC 1.0. Today, building on a five-decade history of advancing the science of sound with its partners, Dolby is working with the ATSC on an essential leap forward in broadcast audio capabilities. Additionally, with the inclusion in ATSC 3.0 of HDR and key elements of Dolby Vision, we are also working to advance the science of imaging.

The Advanced Television Systems Committee, Inc., is an international, non-profit organization developing voluntary standards and recommended practices for digital terrestrial broadcasting. ATSC member organizations represent the broadcast, broadcast equipment, motion picture, consumer electronics, computer, cable, satellite, and semiconductor industries. ATSC also develops digital terrestrial broadcasting implementation strategies and supports educational activities on ATSC standards.
