NON-REAL-TIME CONTENT DELIVERY
The latest membership ballot deadline is next week. NRT was elevated to Proposed Standard by TG1 on Jan. 31. Comments were received during the ballot and resolved. Because the proposed changes were substantive, TG1 conducted a re-ballot, and the document was approved. The Membership ballot was issued on April 11 and closes on May 9.
DIGITAL AUDIO COMPRESSION
Approved. The Working Draft Revision of A/52, “Digital Audio Compression (AC-3, E-AC-3).” The Membership ballot was approved on March 23. Publication is pending.
AVC / SVC VIDEO SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS
Approved with comments. A/153 Part 7 Amendment, “AVC and SVC Video System Characteristics.” The purpose of this amendment is to add additional video coding options to Part 7. The TG1 ballot closed on March 8. It was approved with comments; resolution is pending.
ATSC BYLAWS
Approved. Certain changes to the ATSC Bylaws were approved by the Membership on March 26.
