ATSC Standards Update: Four Updated Documents Published
Since the last issue of The Standard newsletter, four amendments have been approved and published on the ATSC web site:
- S33-726r3, “A/331:2024-04 Amendment No. 1, “Data Service Type, et al.” With approval of this Amendment, a rollup of the Standard has been published as A/331:2025-02.
- S33-711r8, “ A/332:2024-04 Amendment No. 1,“VVC Capability Codes.” With approval of this Amendment, a rollup of the Standard has been published as A/332:2025-02.
- S32-660r2, “ A/327:2024-04 Amendment #2, TxID Code Assignments.” With approval of this Amendment, a rollup of the Recommended Practice has been published as A/327:2025-02.
- S38-521r12, “ Revision of A/344:2024-04, ATSC 3.0 Interactive Content.” With approval of this Amendment, a rollup of the Standard has been published as A/344:2025-02.
Our typical practice is to produce a rollup Standard or RP with approval of each Amendment or Corrigendum. Exceptions to this rule are sometimes made with agreement of the ATSC President and TG3 Chair. For example, if more than one Amendment or Corrigendum is in process for a given Standard or RP, it may make sense to hold the rollup until all changes have been approved.
