Alison Martin is Vice President of Innovation & Strategy at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), where she works at the intersection of technology, law, and public policy on issues shaping the future of broadcasting and media. Her work focuses on spectrum policy, artificial intelligence, and next-generation media technologies, with particular emphasis on how regulatory frameworks interact with technical innovation and market realities.
Before joining NAB, Alison served as Public Policy Manager at Meta, where she engaged with policymakers and regulators around the world on internet video, platform governance, and emerging media issues. Prior to Meta, she spent more than a decade at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, including roles as Deputy Chief Technologist and Chief Engineer of the Media Bureau. In those positions, she advised on spectrum management, broadcasting policy, and communications technology, helping shape regulatory approaches to evolving media and wireless ecosystems.<
Alison brings a multidisciplinary perspective that combines engineering, legal, and policy expertise to address complex issues facing the communications industry. She holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
