Delbert R. Parks III serves as President of Technology for Sinclair Broadcast Group, where he leads the company’s technology strategy and innovation initiatives across media operations, cloud transformation, artificial intelligence as it relates to the media operations, and next-generation broadcasting technologies.
A 54-year veteran of Sinclair, Parks has held a wide range of engineering and operational leadership positions throughout his career. In his current role, he oversees technology initiatives that support Sinclair’s long-term business growth and operational efficiency. His organization focuses on evaluating and deploying emerging technologies, accelerating cloud-based media workflows, and integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance productivity and scalability across the company’s operations.
Parks has also led Sinclair’s deployment of ATSC 3.0, the Next Generation Broadcast Platform, helping position the company at the forefront of broadcast innovation while advancing new business opportunities enabled by the evolving standard.
In recognition of his industry leadership, Parks received Broadcasting & Cable’s Technology Leadership Award in 2007. He is a Fellow of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers.
In addition to his work at Sinclair, Parks serves as President of NABA, the North American Broadcasters Association, and as Chairman of GVx, the global user group for Grass Valley, a leading media technology provider.
Parks is also a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Maryland Army National Guard, where he held multiple command assignments during his military career.
