Rodrigo Cascão Araújo is a recognized leader in digital television, streaming, and interactive media technologies, with more than 25 years of experience in innovation, software engineering, and business leadership. He is the founder and CEO of EiTV, a company specializing in digital TV and streaming solutions operating across Brazil, Latin America, and the United States.
Holding a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Rodrigo has contributed significantly to the advancement of digital broadcasting technologies, including IPTV, middleware, streaming platforms, and interactive TV applications. In 2005, he founded EiTV to support broadcasters during Brazil’s transition to digital television. Under his leadership, EiTV developed products adopted by major broadcasters and deployed in large-scale projects such as the FIFA World Cup and the Rio Olympic Games.
More recently, Rodrigo expanded EiTV’s operations to the United States, establishing an R&D center focused on ATSC 3.0 and NextGen TV technologies. Through EiTV USA, the company became an ATSC Voting Member and launched award-winning tools, including broadcast stream generators, signal analyzers, and broadcast app automation platforms.
Rodrigo also contributes actively to the development and standardization of Brazil’s next-generation TV system, DTV+, and is widely recognized for his expertise, entrepreneurial vision, and commitment to technological innovation in the global media industry.
