A broadcast systems veteran with more than three decades of experience, Tim Carroll is Senior Director AV Ecosystems at Dolby Laboratories, focusing on enabling exceptional audio and video experiences for all consumers. Prior to Dolby, he was CTO of the Telos Alliance, comprising Telos, Omnia, 25-Seven Systems, Axia, Minnetonka Audio, and Linear Acoustic, a company he founded. He has been honored with individual and group Emmy Awards for work with Dolby E, television audio processing, and the Beijing, Vancouver, and London Olympic games. He is a SMPTE Fellow, a member of AES, the IEEE, and is an active participant in the work of the ATSC and SCTE. He holds several patents in the fields of audio and data systems.
