Selfie with Tech
As Chief Technology Officer at Infinite Access PBC, Mark Francisco is channeling an “encore career” into a mission with deep personal meaning: improving the way people interact with technology, particularly those who face barriers in accessing media and applications. Working alongside a team of passionate founders, Mark is helping to shape transformative new approaches to communication—ways that are more intuitive, inclusive, and human-centered.
The day-to-day routine is described by Mark as a blend of exploration and purpose. “I am driven to find meaning through improvement of human experiences,” he explains. Much of his time is spent collaborating with the Infinite Access team on technologies designed to elevate accessibility and create more personalized media experiences for audiences who have historically been overlooked.
Mark’s journey with ATSC 3.0 began during his tenure at Comcast NBCUniversal, where he worked to help influence technology decisions that could benefit both current and future viewers. He played a hands-on role in the early “sandbox” implementations of ATSC 3.0—particularly those leveraging the platform’s advanced audio delivery and edge-adaptation capabilities to enhance accessibility and enable personalized soundscapes.
Today, Mark continues to contribute his expertise to the community as a newly joined member of ATSC’s AI Development Group, helping shape the next generation of broadcast innovation.
What excites him most about ATSC 3.0? “The idea of scalable broadcast that also supports hyper-personalization,” he says. For Mark, the opportunity to blend the reach of broadcasting with the nuance of individualized experiences represents a powerful next chapter—one that allows the industry to “be part of something bigger than ourselves.”

Kerge-Vizsla
When he’s not exploring the future of media, Mark enjoys the grounding calm of two very different passions: gardening and spending time with his Vizslas (dogs). “I love tech,” he says, “but it’s great to take a break from electrons and screens and work in the dirt.”
His reading list currently includes Notes on Being a Man, a reflection on how people connect in an increasingly virtual, algorithm-driven world. And Mark’s go-to series is The Pitt, a show that resonates on a personal level. As an active volunteer EMT in his township, he’s constantly inspired—and challenged—by emergency medicine and the stories that unfold within it.

Hobbies – mountain biking and trail building
If he weren’t advancing next-generation media technology, Mark imagines an entirely different path: becoming a Park Ranger or perhaps a trek guide—roles that blend exploration, service, and a deep connection to the outdoors.
