REGISTRATION NOW OPEN: 2018 ATSC Broadcast Television Conference

Our “Road to ATSC 3.0” theme from this month’s NAB show also will provide the roadmap, so to speak, for “Destination: Next Gen TV,” the 2018 ATSC “Broadcast Television Conference,” May 23-24 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington.

This must-attend event kicks off at noon on May 23 with a keynote by NAB CTO Sam Matheny followed by “Reports from the Road,” with presentations on early real-world implementations of ATSC 3.0 along the Next Gen TV highway from places like Phoenix, Dallas, Cleveland and Raleigh in the United States and Seoul, Korea. The informative workshop will wrap up with ATSC Implementation Team updates before the VIP reception with entertainment by our own in-house rock band, “The ATSC Multicasters.”

The full-day event on May 24 will bring together industry luminaries driving on the Road to ATSC 3.0, including keynotes from Pat Butler, President and CEO of America’s Public Television Stations, and Jeff Cole, head of the Center for the Digital Future at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School. More details will be available in April as speakers are confirmed down the road.

Other highlights will include commemorating – believe it or not – the Silver Anniversary of the formation of the Digital HDTV Grand Alliance on April 24, 1993, which developed the foundation for what became the ATSC 1.0 Standard. And, of course, presentation of the ATSC’s highest technical honor, the Bernard J, Lechner Award.

Mark your calendars and register here! See you in the Nation’s Capital, May 23-24, for what promises to be the best ATSC Next Gen TV Conference ever!
