ATSC 2019 sponsor Gaian Solutions’ ATSC 3.0 offerings provide broadcasters with the tools and technologies to conduct POCs, test business models and prepare for 3.0 transitions. The technology is offered as three major components: 1) Receiver technology compatible with smart TVs, Android and Linux devices supporting phones, tablets, home gateway devices and media players, 2) Cloud-based solutions for alerting, OTT convergence, and a full-fledged buy-sell marketplace for datacasting opportunities, and 3) a station component, referred to as Groundplex, that performs ATSC station manager functions, server functions, and ATSC 3.0 chain automation functions. These foundational pillars are designed to provide broadcasters with a commercial-grade, production-ready, one-stop ATSC 3.0 Solution.
