Tech the halls, A-T-S-C,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Cool new standards, we guaran-tee,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Don we now our pocket protectors,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Saving TV for all the sectors,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
See the future, now before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
ATSC will lead the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Fast away old way passes,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Now to 3.0, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la la la … la la la la.
I’m dreaming of the A-T-S-C,
Just like the one that we should be.
Where our standards glisten,
And stakeholders listen
To hear the future of T-V.
I’m dreaming of Mobile TV
That’s all I want beneath the tree.
While at its big debut,
There’s not much to vi-ew,
It’s still good for ATSC.
I’m dreaming of a 3.0 future
With every concept that I write.
May our days be merry and bright
And may all our engineering be right.
On the Twelfth Day of Christmas,
ATSC Sent to Me…
Twelve All-New Standards,
Eleven By-Laws Changes,
Ten Great New Members,
Nine Trips to DC,
Eight More Standards Updates,
Seven Geeks Debating,
Six Enhancements Coming,
Five New I-deas,
Four Rubber Chickens,
Three Workshops,
Two Dot Oh,
And a CALM time from ATSC!
Chestnuts roasting in the TV lab,
Spectrum police nipping at our heels,
Our members have the gift of gab
Which comes in handy with standards and appeals.
Everybody knows, enhancements and some new ideas,
Help to make the season bright.
But those ATSC folks, in their techie ways,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.
They hope that Richer’s on his way;
With loads of experts on his sleigh.
And every gal and guy is going to spy,
To see if SDOs really know how to fly.
And so we’re offering this simple plea,
To Members and Non-Members, too,
Although it’s been said many times in DC,
A Very Merry ATSC to you!
