ATSC Standards Update: Ballot Updates
Since the last issue of The Standard newsletter, two documents are in process in TG3:
- S31-487r6, “Working Draft: ATSC Standard: Revision of A/300:2024-04, ATSC 3.0 System,” was elevated to Proposed Standard in a ballot that closed on 28 February 2025. Comments were received on the ballot and comment resolution is in process.
- S38-576r0, “ATSC Candidate Standard Working Draft: Revision of A/344:2025-02, ATSC 3.0 Interactive Content,” is currently at ballot for elevation to Candidate Standard for a period of time ending 11 December 2025. The ballot closes on 1 May 2025.
In addition to these documents, a Corrigendum was approved earlier this week by the ATSC Membership: S32-5-303r3, “ATSC Proposed Standard: A/324:2025-01 Corrigendum No. 1.” The ballot closed on 11 April 2025. A Corrigendum is used to correct an error or ambiguity in an ATSC document introduced either in drafting or publication of the document that could lead to incorrect or unsafe application of the document.
