What a tremendous success ATSC had at the 2026 NAB Show, April 19-22 in Las Vegas. From the moment the doors opened, our booth quickly established itself as a dynamic hub for innovation, collaboration, and meaningful dialogue about the future of broadcasting.
Day One set the tone with a full slate of activity and engagement. Kicking things off, NAB CEO Curtis LeGeyt was our honored guest for the ATSC Booth’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, marking a strong and visible start to the entire show.
Starting Sunday morning and carrying through to the show’s end on Wednesday afternoon, our booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s Central Hall was alive with conversation – as attendees connected with our Platinum sponsors A3SA/PearlTV/Run3TV, AT&T, HCLTech, and Sinclair along with discussions at kiosk exhibitors Advanced HDR by Technicolor, DTVKit, EdgeBeam Wireless, Mirakulo, SiliconDust, Tolka, Triveni Digital and VBox Communications.
On Day One and beyond, strong international interest was also on display, punctuated by waving flags of multiple nations that are deploying ATSC 3.0 – an eye-catching design element that both underscored that ATSC is an international organization and helped attract people to our booth. A noteworthy international booth highlight was YTN’s K-Channel 82 initiative, an exciting collaboration with Korean broadcasters and Sinclair to bring new free-to-air content to U.S. audiences. We closed the first day with a well-attended reception, generously sponsored by American Tower.
The second day carried the momentum forward with tremendous energy. We were honored to welcome FCC Commissioner Anna Gomez to the booth. Attendees and media alike engaged with our exhibitors and sponsors, exploring the technologies that are shaping the evolution of broadcasting – from advanced interactive capabilities to data-driven services. Our thanks to our Caribbean and Brazil Implementation Teams for a vibrant reception, an excellent reminder of the global collaboration driving ATSC forward.
As we moved into day three, the focus shifted toward deeper technical discussions and emerging opportunities, culminating in a well-attended reception generously sponsored by EdgeBeam Wireless. The strong visitor turnout and high level of engagement were also bolstered by Rohde & Schwarz’s support of the “ATSC 3.0 Guide at the Show,” as well as Zixi’s creative sponsorship of QR-coded poker chips that directed attendees to the online version of the guide. Altogether, we hope ATSC’s presence at this year’s NAB Show delivered on every front for our member participants and supporters.
Throughout the show, the ATSC Theater stage in our booth featured daily presentations from Apple, EdgeBeam Wireless, Google, GrabTV, HCLTech, Magid, Monsen Engineering, Pearl TV, Ryarc, Sinclair, Think True, and USSI. These compelling dialogues explored how ATSC technologies are transforming broadcast spectrum into a powerful data platform – truly reimagining what broadcast can be.
Beyond Las Vegas, ATSC’s standards work continued apace in April, and new developments can be found in this newsletter’s Standards Column, where we regularly highlight the technical advancements. And looking ahead, we are developing a robust program for the upcoming NextGen Broadcast Conference, taking place June 1-3 at NAB Headquarters in Washington, DC. Sponsorship and exhibit opportunities are still available, registration is open and more details can be found at this website: https://www.atsc.org/events/nextgen-broadcast-conference/. We hope to see many of you there.
The ATSC community is not only reimagining the future of broadcasting – we are actively building it. Thank you to our members and partners for being part of the journey.
