GOOGLE THIS! ATSC: 130-Plus Members Strong

President Madeleine Noland calls our members “the backbone of ATSC.”  With the rollout of Next Gen TV powered by ATSC 3.0 under way, current members are stepping up their engagement while new members – including Google LLC and InterDigital Inc. – are jumping onboard.

Through its Widevine content security team, Google is interested in ATSC 3.0 discussions and planning surrounding security. InterDigital, involved in standardization since the formation of 3GPP in 1998, is in the process of acquiring Technicolor’s Research and Innovation team.

Other new members include V-Nova Ltd., a London-based technology company providing next-generation compression solutions, interested in ATSC’s metadata work, and

Technology Advisers, the strategy and technology consulting firm led by ATSC board member and long-time ATSC contributor Paul Hearty, formerly of Sony.
